We traveled back to Taipei this morning after an incredible time in Taitung. The staff at Hannah's Hope is amazing. They welcomed us from the very beginning and have been so kind. They went our of their way to make us feel comfortable(like family) and made sure we had what we needed. We have had delicious food: hot pots, dumplings, kung pao chicken (Craig's favorite - more spicy than the US), beef and noodle soup, guava, star fruit, and today, Buddha Fruit (it looks like a Buddha head), yummy vegetables (they all talked about how Craig doesn't like vegetables which made us laugh). We also had the opportunity to see some beautiful areas of Taitung and Rachel's village. We are so blessed to have meet the staff at Hannah's Hope and to have been part of the wonderful work they do for the women and children of Taiwan. We were sad to leave Taitung (Cindi cried as usual) but we are looking forward to the last phase of our journey home.
When we arrived to Taipei, we checked in to our hotel, and waited for our meeting with Rachel's birth family. Words can't explain how it felt, but we are so glad to have had the opportunity. She is a brave woman who loves Rachel very much. The rest of the afternoon has been spent resting - naps are a wonderful thing. We will have dinner with Sansan tonight before she goes back to Taitung. She has been instrumental in making this an amazing journey. We absolutely love her and will be sad to say goodbye.
Tonight, please pray for Hannah's Hope staff, the two infants who are there now and the families waiting to bring them home!
As soon as we arrive home, we will post pictures of our little princess (yes, she thinks she is one...) and Taitung. We are unable to load them onto our laptop.
Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers in getting us to where we are. We look forward to you all meeting Rachel in the coming weeks.
Blessings,
CCK and R :)
